Privacy Policy

ADPO collects very little: no accounts, no advertising cookies. This page explains what we do collect, why, and your rights. Last updated 29 August 2026.

1. Who we are

adpo.lol is operated by Strategic Minds Group Limited (company number 10642767), 57 Nine Elms Lane, London, SW11 7DF, United Kingdom. We are the data controller for the personal data described here. Contact: hello@adpo.lol.

2. What we collect

When you list something

The URL you submit and the public metadata we fetch from it — title, description, icon — plus the title override and category you choose. This is published on the board and in the 3D scene by design and is visible to everyone.
Payment details are collected by Stripe on Stripe’s pages. We receive the email address you enter at checkout, the amount, currency, tax details, a Stripe session and payment identifier, and the billing country. We never receive your full card number.

When you visit

Analytics. We use DataFast in cookieless mode. It records page views, referrers, approximate country and device type, and (if you pay) attributes the payment to the visit. It does not set cookies and does not build a profile of you across sites. If you pay in the same session, two short-lived DataFast identifiers are passed to Stripe as checkout metadata so revenue can be attributed to a traffic source.
Clicks. Links on the board go through /go/… so we can count clicks per listing. We store the listing, timestamp, referrer and a coarse source label. We do not store your IP address in the click log.
Server logs. Our hosting provider (Vercel) keeps standard request logs — IP address, user agent, URL, timestamp — for a short period for security and debugging.
Preferences. A single item in your browser’s local storage (adpo.panel) remembers whether you collapsed the leaderboard. It contains no personal data.

3. Why we use it and our legal basis

To run the board — publishing listings, ranking them and taking payment. Basis: performance of a contract with you.
To keep records of payments, taxes and disputes. Basis: legal obligation and legitimate interests.
To moderate, prevent fraud, abuse and chargebacks. Basis: legitimate interests.
To understand traffic and improve the site, using aggregated, cookieless analytics. Basis: legitimate interests.
To contact you about your listing (for example if it is held) using the email you gave at checkout. Basis: performance of a contract. We do not send marketing email.

4. Who we share it with

We share data only with the providers needed to run the service, each acting on our instructions or as an independent controller for their own service: Stripe (payments and tax), Supabase (database hosting), Vercel (hosting and logs), DataFast (analytics), and an email delivery provider for transactional email. Listing data is public. We do not sell personal data. We may disclose data if the law requires it or to protect our rights.

5. International transfers

Our providers process data in the UK, the EU and the United States. Where data leaves the UK we rely on the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum, or on an adequacy decision.

6. How long we keep it

Listings are permanent by design and stay on the board unless removed under the Rules.
Payment records (including checkout email) are kept for 7 years to meet tax and accounting obligations.
Click logs are rolled up into per-listing counts every few minutes; the raw rows are kept for up to 90 days.
Server logs are kept by Vercel for a short period, typically days.

7. Your rights

Under the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018 you can ask to access, correct, delete or restrict the personal data we hold about you, object to processing based on legitimate interests, and ask for a copy in a portable format. Email hello@adpo.lol; we will respond within one month. Note that a listing is a public record you paid to publish: we can remove personal data from it (for example an individual’s name in a fetched title) but deleting the listing itself is governed by the Terms. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

8. Cookies

adpo.lol itself sets no cookies. Stripe sets strictly-necessary cookies on its own checkout pages to process your payment and prevent fraud. Our analytics are cookieless.

9. Children

The service is for adults and businesses. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

10. Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest with our providers. Card data never touches our servers. Access to the database is limited to the operator.

11. Changes

We will update this page when our practices change and update the date at the top.
